International Student Program

GRP “OPPORTUNITY BRIDGE”

We refer to this exceptional program as the “GRP Opportunity Bridge, a bridge that leads to a world of opportunities.” GRP University and GRP Community Development Corporation (a USA “Not for Profit” organization) will work with the student from the very start of their journey.

Your nursing career journey begins with completing your enrollment application. From there, you and your GRP University Advisor will accomplish the following steps together;

Review of your academic analysis

Register for the necessary classes

Initiate the immigration application and advise you throughout the entire immigration process
until you graduate

Register for and pass the needed examinations

Assist in procuring full-time employment from a US employer

Complete your immigration process

Arrive in the United States of America

Advise you with getting you settled in your new life as you start your new job as a nurse in the USA

This includes advising you of your housing and transportation options, establishing banking and
financial services and helping you to familiarize yourself in your new surroundings and career.

We take much pride being able to offer the student this exciting pathway to the USA and it is our pleasure to be with the student throughout the entire journey – Let’s get started!

It should be noted that this program is not for everyone.

The journey to the United States of America is a dream of many, but only a few of
those that have this dream succeed in making their dream a reality.

Our core philosophy is “Humanitarian in Harmony”. The GRP Opportunity Bridge is an example of our commitment to this core philosophy.

While our goal is for quality individuals to succeed in crossing the GRP Opportunity Bridge we understand there are obstacles that the student must overcome to successfully make this journey.

Some of the challenges may be FINANCIAL.

#1) We require all tuition and fees to be paid online in advance of the course or semester deadlines. There is a refund policy offered on our website. Following the refund, drop or add deadline, the tuition and course fees are non-refundable.

#2) We require a minimum of 65% of the Immigration fees to be paid from the beginning and the balances to be paid at the appropriate times, All immigration fees must be paid prior to departing your country of origin in order to obtain the necessary Visa for travel to the USA.

#3) We require a minimum of 20% of the GRP placement fee to be paid from the beginning and no less than 50% must be paid prior to departure to the USA. The GRP Placement process involves many items, including but not limited to, oversight of the immigration process and securing full time employment from a USA employer.

We understand these financial challenges, and it is for this reason that we offer each student the opportunity to apply for grant funding to reduce their placement fee. Additionally, we offer student loan financing. Financing shall not exceed 50% of the total placement fee. Once employed, the student loan will be paid back from their nursing salary while in the USA. The payback period will be completed within the first year of starting your employment in the USA.

Even with the generous GRP grants and the GRP financing options we understand that many students will simply not be able to afford this opportunity. Therefore, as wonderful of an opportunity as this is, it is not for everyone. Please discuss this with your local GRP Advisory Counselor for more details and guidance.

Purpose

Our purpose is to offer to the student a genuine quality education that leads to a professional career opportunity in the United States of America. The average annual starting salary for a nurse ranges from $55,000-$65,000 USD.

Simultaneously, we are working towards meeting the demands of the shortage of qualified nurses in the United States of America thereby working to satisfy the underserved needs of
the local USA community.

Goal

Our goal is for the student to accomplish their dream of a nursing career in the USA in as soon as possible. It is recommended that the student speak with a GRP Advisory Counselor to accomplish this goal in the shortest amount of time.

It should be mentioned that immigration is a process that GRP has no control over and therefore we must only advise the student of their options and allow each student to make their decision based on the comprehensive information we provide. Essentially, there are two choices; a normal USCIS application or an expedited USCIS application. The normal USCIS application processing time may take as much as 9 to 11 months or longer. The “expedited” USCIS application shortens the processing time to approximately 30 days. If the student decides that they want an expedited application then the student must pay an additional $2500 in fees for this USCIS PREMIUM SERVICE. This is the student’s choice and must be paid upfront in full.
